J Charles is a third generation specialist fish processing business based in Aberdeen, Scotland. It was founded some 70 years ago by Wilfred Charles on his return from the second world war. Wilfred earned great respect in the fish business for his attention to quality and ability to keep his demanding customers, who were based in central London, supplied with top quality Scottish fish.
His son John who had followed his father’s interest in the food and drink industry joined the fish business on his return from tea planting in India. Continuing with the successful formula of never compromising with quality the business continued to develop and flourish. John's son, Andrew, who joined the family business some 35 years ago, has to this day continued the tradition of supplying their valued customers big or small with top quality service and product but also endeavoured to embrace the importance of using sustainable products.
